Our Role
The role of the Payments Council Standards Unit is to develop and support the development of national and international standards for the payments industry.
We also co-ordinate UK payment standards activities on behalf of the Payments Council, interest groups, and the clearing companies. When doing so we ensure there is a clear and consistent policy and business rationale wherever possible.
