Cheque Guarantee Card Scheme
The UK Domestic Cheque Guarantee Card Scheme closed on 30 June 2011, meaning that it is no longer possible to guarantee a cheque under the Scheme after this date. The decision to close the Scheme was taken by the Payments Council in June 2009 as guaranteed cheque use was in terminal decline.
